Rock this way: Aerosmith perform to a wildly enthusiastic crowd in Dubai
In the band's high-octane show at Dubai Exiles Rugby Football Club, a sweat-drenched Tyler writhed like a snake, strutted like Mick Jagger and sang as though his life depended on it.
The crowd went wild time and again, screaming with excitement as the heavily tattooed singer, his wild hair streaked in a string of colours, threw his microphone stand - adorned with his trademark scarves - in every direction.
Guitarist Joe Perry was almost as uninhibited, swirling his shirt above his head and at one point even lying at the front of the stage while continuing to play his guitar.
The concert opened with Love in an Elevator and, with the band playing their greatest hits, the pace never flagged for more than one-and-a-half-hours.
Highlights included Jaded, the fun Falling in Love (Is Hard on the Knees), complete with demonstration from Tyler, singalong favourite I Don't Want to Miss A Thing and then a rousing finale with Walk This Way.
This concert was stadium rock of the top rank - great music and a singer who really knows how to entertain.
