Wednesday
Soul Of Man @ Trilogy
Wanted go down the breaks route again with the excellent UK duo. With releases out on the brilliant Finger Lickin' imprint, quality is guaranteed. A must see for Dubai's tiny breaks following.
Fluke@ Shangri-La Pool
The Fluke duo will help you alleviate those midweek blues with a set that encompasses everything from blessed-out house music to raw funk. With a classy setting and top soundsystem, what more could you want?
Thursday
Wonderland Avenue @ Lotus One
Cheese alert! The one-hit-wonder arrives in Dubai to play middle-of-the-road house.
Tim Sweeney @ iBO
LCD Soundsystem bod and all round disco doyen, Tim Sweeney is an inspired choice for the last days of iBO. House, electro and all sorts of retro-inspired tuneage will be dropped - it's nights like this that will make you realise how much iBO will be missed.
Bobby & Steve @ The Apartment
The funk and soul duo are the latest jocks to spin at the excellent Studio 186 nights. Expect some old school tunes as the brothers are veterans of the UK club scene.
Serge Santiago @ Trilogy
Formerly one half of Radio Slave, the Liverpudlian likes to keep things on the electro-house tip, so this is a must for anyone who likes their beats crunchy and their basslines sharp.
Friday
Dimitri From Paris @ Trilogy
The French disco don is the epitome of Parisian chic. Glossy, funk-fuelled disco and a large dollop of irony is to be expected in one of the gigs of the weekend. Just don't forget to bring your sunglasses.
Faithless @ World Trade Centre
The UK dance icons are rather good live, which is just as well given that 90 per cent of their output is dire. Support from a trance DJ is hardly going to help matters but who are we to question Dubai promoters' wisdom?
Stereo
Outlines – Our Lives Are Too Short (Sonar Kollektiv)
The debut album from this much-hyped French trio doesn't disappoint with a mix of disco pop that takes its lead from jazz and hip hop. Get this!
FabricLive 34 – Kraft Kuts (Fabric)
The rise of breaks continues and this mix by Krafty Kuts illustrates why the genre has taken off. Cheeky samples, infectious stabs and rock hard bass lines combine for an incendiary release.
