Dubai: A two-month free rent offer has helped Nakheel lease out a majority of villas in Jebel Ali Village in less than 45 days.
The unique marketing tactic has given a new lease of life to Jebel Ali Village as Nakheel decided to renovate 290 villas ranging from two-bedroom units to those with six bedrooms (Dh160,000 rent), as part of a Dh50.5 million restoration scheme.
Unique strategy
At a time when rentals are shooting up all over Dubai, Nakheel came out with the surprise rent-free offer last month and more than 190 of the 290 villas were leased rapidly.
Annual rents start at Dh125,000 including service charge for a two-bedroom villa. Nakheel is waiving two months rent for those who pay the annual rent in one instalment.
“We have leased out two-thirds of villas already and half of the people to whom the villas have been leased have moved in. We received a very healthy response and the offer continues,” a Nakheel spokesperson told XPRESS.
Jebel ali Club
Apart from restoring one of Dubai’s oldest residential areas, Nakheel is also planning to expand Jebel Ali Club. “There are plans for new recreation and restaurant facilities to enhance the existing Jebel Ali club which will add to the community,” said the spokesperson.
