AUST engineering students visit Munich

Last updated:

Eight female students from the College of Engineering at Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) recently attended a workshop on "luxury living" in Munich, Germany.

The one-week workshop was held at the Institute of Housing Economics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and was also attended by 12 TUM students. The trip was part of a cultural exchange programme between Germany and the UAE.

Accompanying the students was faculty member Michael Schwarz, workshop organiser and coordinator of AUST International Academic Relations for Europe and China, among other faculty members.

The workshop examined topics connected with the multicultural aspect of Munich, a city visited each year by large numbers of people from the Gulf countries.

Proposals developed by the students were presented to a jury, which included TUM faculty members and guests, who were particularly impressed by the work of the AUST participants. At the conclusion of the workshop, each student received a certificate of appreciation from professor institute chair Peter Ebner.
