Defending champions Al Embrator led Al Bayan and SDI into the knockout stages with huge wins, while Leader Sport scraped through with a narrow victory in the Sharjah Ramadan Football Championship (SRFC) being held at Sharjah Sports Club.
In Wednesday’s action, Al Embrator recovered from their loss in the previous game to secure a 10-2 win against La Magica, while Al Bayan were equally emphatic in their 9-0 blanking of Lenasi. SDI too toyed with Al Fursan before walking away 12-3 winners, while Leader Sport Sport assured themselves of a spot in the last stages with a narrow 2-1 victory over Sport 4 All.
Organised by the Sharjah Sports Channel for the third successive year, the tournament is held under the patronage of Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, with the final scheduled for June 1.
