The Venetian hotel played host to Bollywood's finest for the opening of IIFA.
If Friday night's event is anything to go by, the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) has so far been a resounding success in Macau, China.
The Venetian hotel hosted the annual IIFA Charity Foundation Fashion Extravaganza with a high dose of glamour and style as Bollywood actors took to the ramp to raise funds for the workers of the Indian film industry.
Abhishek Bachchan began the evening by raising a toast to the work done by the IIFA Charity Foundation which helps by giving rations to workers and providing their children with medical aid and education.
Started a few years ago, the junior Bachchan said, "Money has been collected via the different activities done every year as part of the Charity Foundation. From cricket matches to fashion shows, the industry has come forward for this cause. And for this we toast the Indian film industry for its united stand."
The event ended on a high as it was announced that Hrithik Roshan's statue has been commissioned by Madame Tussaud's - Bachchan senior's had already been presented - making the entire purpose of hosting an Indian film award ceremony overseas to promote its films a grand success.
