Tabu's career change
Tired of doing serious roles in Bollywood, the talented Tabu did an ultra-glam one in Pandurangadu, a Telugu film where she plays a seductress. The film was huge hit but her performance got her a lot of flak as the critics believed that her overtly-sexy character was in poor taste. Frustrated with the lack of meaty and challenging roles, the choosy actress has decided to take matters in her own hands and, according to the grapevine, she will now be seen in a new role – that of a producer. She is reportedly finalising a script collaboration for a Mumbai-based production house but it remains to be seen if she will act in this film.
Akshay rocks toronto
The much talked about Unforgettable Tour that features the Bachchan clan has finally taken off and is receiving a tremendous response. The first venue, Toronto, Canada, had 10,000 people screaming their lungs out for their favourite stars. And the favourite was not from the Bachchan clan but Akshay Kumar. Yes, this Punjabi lad had all the girls swooning when he danced to his song from Singh is Kinng, followed by Dil Da Mamla Hai Dilbar and Tere Roop Di Ho Gayee Balle, Balle. But what really got the crowd in to a frenzy was when he serenaded a girl from the audience to the track Bheege Hoth Tere. There was a virtual stampede and it wasn't even a song picturised on Kumar. It is serial kisser Emraan Hashmi's claim to fame.
Just friends, huh?
The media and fans have been so obsessed with the Saif-Kareena love story that they missed out on the growing bond between Konkona Sen and Ranvir Shorey. But the couple, who shared screen space in Mixed Doubles and Traffic Signal and have been working on Mira Nair's How Can It Be, are denying a relationship. "It's a personal choice. We like to keep our personal life away from the limelight. All I can say is I'm very content with my life and career," says Ranvir. He is, however, willing to talk about his working relationship with Konkona. "It's an advantage to work with a friend. You can speak your mind freely without the fear of offending the other party," he says.

Will madhuri return?
After the debacle of Aaja Nachle, Madhuri Dixit swore that she would not act again, but somehow filmmakers don't seem to have got the message. According to her secretary Riku Rakessh Nath, the dancing queen is flooded with offers, including one from Yash Raj films as well. Since Madhuri is extremely upset with the banner for not promoting her comeback vehicle Aaja Nachle as promised, causing it to fail at the box office, it will be interesting to see if she accepts this offer or not.
