Dubai: An Indian student’s wish to meet the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police was fulfilled on Thursday.

Ishan Radha Krishnan applied to meet the Dubai Police chief on his 14th birthday and his wish was granted when Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri met him at his office in the Dubai Police Headquarters.

Maj-Gen Al Merri welcomed the student and his mother who had made the request for a meeting on behalf of Krishnan to Dubai Police.

The police chief answered Krishnan’s questions and discussed topics like policing, sports and education with Krishnan during the meeting.

“Dubai Police’s doors are always open to the public and we are keen to make a smile on everyone’s face, particularly children’s. I wish the student best of luck and success in his life,” Maj-Gen Al Merri said.

After a photo session, Maj-Gen Al Merri instructed officers to take Krishnan on a city tour in one of Dubai Police’s supercars to celebrate his birthday.

Krishnan was happy to see the police chief in his office and said that the top officer urged him to join volunteering and practise sports besides studying well at school.
