Abu Dhabi: A total of Dh 2.14 billion was offered by the Ministry of Community Development in social assistance in the first half of 2018.
The ministry’s generous aid aims to enhance family cohesion and social solidarity and accounts for 73.1 per cent of the total support allocations in the federal budget for 2018, which amounted to Dh 2.923 billion.
The ministry’s assistance covered various social segments including people of determination, elderly, social welfare and marriage grants as well as other family-oriented services in general.
