Dubai: Ranjeet Chavan produced a consistent performance in Dubai Mammoths’ successful tour of the United Kingdom. The Dubai team won four of their six matches during the tour despite being unfamiliar with English conditions.
Chavan, who has been consistent in Mammoths tournaments organised by Dubai Cricket Council, scored heavily during the tour. Vijendra Rana, Navin Punjabi, Jawed Siddiqui, Sadiq Saboowala, Sangit Gopinath, Mukesh Patel and Deepak Odhrani too produced match-winning performance for this team, which is also known as Sindhi Club and led by veteran cricketer Shiva Pagarani. This one-week trip hosted by City Cricket Academy is the sixth tour by this team.
Chavan hit 30 runs in Mammoths victory over Leicester Seniors. Followed it up with another knock of 25 in victory over Luton Club, then 29 runs against Hinckley Town and also hit 55 runs against Prescott & Odyssey team.
