Chrissy Teigen’s postpartum oversharing continued through the weekend, delighting fans, mums and parenting bloggers with her signature wit.
The model and pithy social star introduced the world to her baby boy, Miles Theodore Stephens, whom she welcomed with husband John Legend last week.
“Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens — We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles. Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!” Teigen wrote on Instagram on Sunday, sharing a sweet first look at Miles in all his contemplative newborn glory.
He has the same nose as the couple’s two-year-old daughter, Luna, the 32-year-old mum also tweeted, and he arrived “a few weeks early so he’s litttttttle and makes the teeniest noises. We are in love.”
The Lip Sync Battle host’s all-too-real posts about life after Miles’ arrival kept her fans laughing along through the weekend. The cookbook author confirmed that “postpartum life is 90 per cent better” when you don’t split yourself nearly in half, like she did last time.
“Baby boy: 1 point. Luna: 0,” she added in a tweet that we can’t share due to its, um, realness.
Luna featured nicely in Teigen’s other missives: The little lady plays a toy harp in another photo Teigen posted, but is totally upstaged by mum’s medical-grade mesh underwear, which comedian Ali Wong refers to as “material that they package those fancy Korean pears” in. Teigen, of course, is holding one such pear in the photo.
“If you haven’t seen @aliwong’s new Netflix special, you are bad at picking Netflix specials #asianpearunderwear,” she wrote, captioning the pic of herself carrying Miles while wearing said underwear.
The model also continued her epic trolling of husband Legend, who was out on Sunday to attend the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Teigen echoed the internet’s “sanctimommies” who shamed her for stepping out soon after giving birth to Luna by doing the same to her husband when he showed up on television.
“wow didn’t u just have a baby John smh go take care of it !!!!!! disgusting,” she wrote, sharing a pic of him giving a red-carpet interview while she and Miles were parked on the couch in their L.A. home.
Luna wasn’t having it either, but for her own reasons — she appears to have been upstaged. Fortunately, dad made it home in time for dinner.
