Dubai: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a leading Indian education body, will announce its Grade 12 exam results on Saturday, according to media reports.
The CBSE Grade 10 results will be released at a later date.
Parents and students in the UAE can learn of the Grade 12 results by logging on to websites like cbse.examresults.net, cbseresults.nic.in and results.gov.in.
The results stem from student examinations that were held in the UAE from March 5 to April 13.
The results also follow a tense period in late March after the question papers of Grade 10 mathematics and Grade 12 economics were reportedly leaked on social media in India but students in the UAE heaved a collective sigh of relief over being exempted from re-examination.
In the UAE, the decision had affected 8,474 students of Grade 10 and about 2,713 students of Grade 12 who had chosen economics as their elective subject.
The news of the leak and possible re-exam sent a wave of shock and dismay in March in the student and teacher communities in the UAE as most Grade 12 students had little time to prepare for their undergraduate entrance examinations that take place for engineering and medicine especially in India. A re-examination would have meant throwing a spanner into those plans.
