Dubai: Hotel group Jumeirah have said that the first hotels to open from their new Zabeel House brand will be at Meraas’ Al Seef development.

The announcement follows January’s statement that the company had also signed a deal to open a Zabeel House property in The Greens.

The Al Seef hotels will be the first of the brand to open, with the company already taking bookings for spring 2018. The hotel in the Greens is expected to open towards the end of the year, Jumeirah says.

The two Al Seef properties will comprise a total of 350 room-keys, and be located adjacent to the Al Fahidi historical district and the Embassy district.

Found along the south bank of the Creek, Al Seef is an area rooted in Dubai’s culture and heritage.

According to Jumeirah, the first phase of the 2.5 million square feet destination opened in late 2017 and the development will be completed in 2018.

Jumeirah is a subsidiary of Dubai Holding, an investment conglomerate owned by the Ruling Family.

Jumeirah has a number of other signed hotel management agreements in place for its Zabeel House brand, including properties in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, which are expected to be announced in the coming months.
