You eat with your eyes first.
There is no doubt that everything starts with the eyes, the sense that is most used when you are hungry.
The brain’s visual system development is intimately linked to acquisition of food. “People’s perception is typically dominated by what their eyes see,” writes Charles Spence, an Oxford professor of Experimental Psychology.
Our eyes lead the way and our tongues merely follow.
With this concept in mind, master cuisine chefs focuses in the dishes’ visual designs and photographers also play a vital role in the food industry.
In the competitive food industry environment, restaurants, cuisine chiefs, and food bloggers really pay attention to the quality of their food photography.
To shed light in this topic, the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) will organize a free lecture on the 8th of August in Dubai.
The theme “Food Photography” brings Sukaina Rajabali, an expert food photographer, to share her experiences. Her style has graced a long list of bestselling books and popular magazines.
She is also one of the only seven Certified Phase One Professionals in the Middle East. In partnership with Canon, this photography workshop is free for all.
