Abu Dhabi: Defence firm Raytheon has appointed Alan Davis as the chief executive of Raytheon Emirates, which is based in Abu Dhabi. Davis will be replacing John Brauneis who retired after thirty two years with the company.

Previously the chief operating officer for the wholly-owned Raytheon subsidiary, Davis will be responsible for driving business localisation and growth strategy and will report directly to Taylor W. Lawrence, president of Raytheon Missile Systems.

“Alan has a proven leadership track record, having successfully led international and complex programmes,” said Lawrence. “He is responsible for leading the Raytheon Emirates team and taking the UAE landed company beyond establishment towards future business growth.”

Raytheon Emirates recently announced a long-term lease with Mubadala Investment Company for its new UAE headquarters in Al Maqam Tower at the Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, which it expects to move into by year-end.
