Limitless unveils Saudi development
Dubai: Limitless, the global master development arm of Dubai World, has unveiled its Dh 44 billion (SR45 billion) Al Wasl project to Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Prince of Riyadh, at the inauguration of the 2008 Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM).
Prince Salman was the first to view a 25-square-metre model of the project's 1411 hectare master plan, revealed by Limitless CEO Saeed Ahmed Saeed at the show's official opening on Sunday.
“With Al Wasl, Limitless will produce a distinctive, sustainable and tailor-made city that will preserve traditional Saudi culture, provide homes for 200,000 people and generate some 50,000 jobs,'' Saeed said.
Al Wasl will include 55,000 homes; 55 mosques; offices; hotels; health and educational facilities; shopping malls and a sports stadium. There will also be over 300 hectares of green, open space and an environmentally-friendly internal transport system.
Limitless, a strategic sponsor of STTIM 2008, has several other projects planned for Saudi Arabia.
