Foreigners buy shares worth Dh1.8b in UAE

Dubai: The value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, last week on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) reached Dh1.88 billion, comprising 27.7 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period, the exchange said on Satuday.

The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached Dh2.66 billion comprising 39.1 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

Net foreign investment on the market reached Dh773.6 million during the same period.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during week from June 29 to July 3 reached Dh1.520 billion comprising 22.3 per cent of the total value of stocks traded.

The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached Dh1.97 billion which constitutes 29 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.
