Kuwait: Agility signs $24m logistics contract

Will transport petroleum firm’s purchases of spare parts, components and pipes

Beirut: Kuwait-based Agility has signed a 6.85 million Kuwaiti dinars ($24 million; Dh88.06 million) contract to provide logistics and freight services to state-run Kuwait National Petroleum Co (KNPC) for five years, the official Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) reported on Monday, citing an executive.

Under the contract, Agility will transport KNPC’s purchases of spare parts, components, pipes, and other equipment by air, sea, and land from different world locations, Fahd Fahaad Al Ajmi, KNPC’s deputy managing director for finance and administration, told Kuna.

Agility will also provide customs clearing, shipping, and other logistics services in the countries of origin and in Kuwait, he added.
