Abu Dhabi: Epicor Software Corporation, a US-based company providing enterprise business software solutions, yesterday said it has been selected by the Abu Dhabi-based Al Mansoori Specialised Engineering for providing enterprise resource planning (ERP) services.
Epicor declined to provide the size or the length of the contract when reached by Gulf News.
Epicor said the ERP solution will be implemented by International Agencies Company Limited (Intercol), Epicor's channel partner for the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.
Al Mansoori is a major provider of oilfield services in the Middle East. Established in the UAE in 1977, the company at present has more than 900 employees working in 15 countries providing a variety of oilfield services.
"Over the years we have demonstrated proven expertise in providing ERP solutions to the oil and gas sector. The addition of Al Mansoori Specialised Engineering further expands our presence in the energy sector, a key economic segment in the region, particularly in the oil-rich GCC countries," a statement quoted Basil Daniells, regional sales director for Epicor, as saying.
Driving growth
Al Mansoori will implement Epicor iScala across the business process spectrum of the company to achieve reduced costs and increased efficiency, and to drive growth across the value chain targeting better utilisation of resources to shore up the company's bottom-line, said Epicor.
"Epicor has over 350 installations in the region, which include many prominent companies from the energy sector. Al Mansoori has opted for the full ERP suite spanning financials, human resources and payroll, logistics (purchase, sales and inventory), project and services management, business intelligence and CRM. We believe Al Mansoori's corporate-wide implementation will lead to higher growth prospects through streamlined business processes and reduced redundancy," Daniells added.
Nabeel Al Alawi, managing director of Al Mansoori Specialised Engineering said, "We are convinced that Epicor iScala as an industry-leading, scaleable ERP solution will bring better end-to-end business process efficiency which is very important to us at a time of accelerated growth."
"We are confident that Epicor iScala will also support our expansion plans which are on the anvil as we find the economic climate conducive to augmented business growth," Al Alawi added.
