What are some of the advantages that you immediately experienced in the UAE?
MALIK: We are originally from Paris and, as a person from a multicultural background, I immediately felt how people live in harmony and respect for other people’s culture and beliefs here in the UAE.
GA NUI: The UAE’s openness translates into benefits for businesses here. The government’s strategic partnership with the private sector has given us keys to open doors of opportunities not just for ourselves but for others as well. That, for me, is a concept that I found unique to the UAE.
MALIK: This openness in business is an important factor that attracts many businesses. For example, French entrepreneurs will always know that they can find people who not only speak their language but are also aware of the processes that are uniquely relevant to them.
How important is having the right partnership in setting up a business in the UAE?
GA NUI: Success is all about teamwork and having reliable partners that grow with you are important to the success of any business anywhere.
For us, choosing to establish our business at IFZA was a logical and strategic choice. Unlike my experiences in other countries, IFZA’s people and processes are responsive to situations that businesses face. This gives us the freedom to respond to our clients’ needs as well. As Professional Partners of IFZA, we know that we have people who are dedicated to support us. Being in a dynamic city like Dubai, it is easy to get lost in the constantly changing business environment and it is important for us to see that IFZA moves at our speed.
MALIK: And it has been quite a journey for us. From a 2-person team a little over 3 years ago, we have now grown into a company of 10 staff and consultants. Our operations have also grown more than 500% since we started. Even with the current global situation, we have grown tremendously and are looking into wider opportunities beyond our current target markets.
