Dubai: Malabar Gold & Diamonds has launched its first discount-focussed campaign – “Shubh Aarambham Price Promise” to “speed up” sales of inventory the retailer sourced at the beginning of the year.
The jewellery collections were targeting key occasions such as April’s “Akshaya Tritiya” and the spending usually associated ahead of summer holidays. “The business disruption brought about by the lockdowns had affected the product cycles,” the retailer said in a statement. “And with new collections due to arrive in September, it was critical to ensure a faster sale of existing products.”
The campaign will offer customers a 20-50 per cent discount on making charges for 18K, 21K, and 22K gold jewellery and up to 25 per cent discount on diamond jewellery. Additionally, there will also be a display of “Special Buy” products with bargains. They also have the opportunity to avail zero deduction on exchange of 22K gold jewellery.
