Tallinn: Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, met Juri Ratas, Prime Minister of Estonia, here on Saturday and discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
He also met Kadri Simson, Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure. Al Mansouri is currently heading a high-level UAE business delegation on a visit to Estonia.
During his meeting with the Estonian Prime Minister, which was attended by Sultan Rashid Al Kaytoub, UAE Ambassador to Tallinn, and members of the delegation, Al Mansouri expressed the UAE’s interest in furthering economic and commercial ties with Estonia.
The Estonian Prime Minister said his country will set up business representation offices in Dubai this year and in Abu Dhabi in 2019.
The meeting also saw discussions on Estonia’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.
Trade between the UAE and Estonia reached $61 million (Dh224 million) in 2017, up from $59.7 million in 2016. Last year, UAE hotels hosted 17,500 tourists from Estonia.
