After the heroics with the willow, Birthday boy Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib showed their class with the ball claiming two wickets apiece as Afghanistan skittled out Bangladesh for 119 in 41.2 overs. Win by 136 runs.

Birthday boy Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib pulled Afghanistan from a precerious situation to post a challenging total of 255 for 7 in 50 overs against Bangladesh in their last group match of Asia Cup. Afghanistan were reduced to 160 for 7 in 40.5 overs at one stage. Rashid remained unbeaten on 57 while Naib was not out on 42. The duo put on a partnership of 95runs for the eight-wicket.

Afghanistan lose their skipper Asghar Afghan for 8 with the scores reading 103 for 3 in 25.1 overs. Asghar beaten in the flight competely by Shakib Al Hassan and the ball knocks top of the middle stumps.
