Rain showers hit Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: Heavy rains accompanied by lightening and thunder pounded Udhun, Al Ghail, Al Manama, Suhaila, Wadi Al Helou, Hatta, Thouban and Siji, while light rain fell on Al Dhaid and Massafi accompanied by thunder on Thursday.

Heavy rains also fell between Khor Fakkan and Fujairah.

Low and medium clouds appeared around midday on Wednesday along the coast line in interior area, as a result of the northern damp wind meeting the south-eastern wind, which caused rainy clouds over Shahama, Bani Yas, and the western part of Swaihan.

Light to medium rain fell on these areas accompanied by lightening and thunder and a strong dusty wind in some areas.

The clouds cleared out gradually, and then another rainy cloud over Al Madam area started to form, eventually developing into a medium rainfall.
