Turkish police arrest 45 suspected militants

Instanbul: Turkish police have arrested 45 people with alleged links to the Al Qaeda terrorist group, local media reported on Wednesday.

The suspected militants were detained by police in simultaneous raids in eight districts of Istanbul on Tuesday,

Computers and coded messages were also confiscated.

The court will decide whether they should be charged, jailed or released.
