Tehran: Iraqi officials have proposed holding the next round of US-Iran talks over Iraq's security in January, Iran's Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.
Tehran is studying the idea, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini told a news conference.
"We have received a number of suggestions from the Iraqi officials and they are proposing next January as the time for the next round of discussions," he said.
The United States has accused Iran of fuelling violence in Iraq, a charge that Iran denies.
