Darfur rebels planning attack in province

Khartoum: A heavily armed convoy of Darfur rebels has advanced to the neighbouring Kordofan province on Friday and is planning an attack, the army said.

The military stepped up security in Khartoum in preparation for the attack.

The rebel Justice and Equality Movement, however, denied any move.
