London: British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said a man held hostage in Baghdad for more than two years has been released alive.
Peter Moore was released by his captors on Wednesday.
Moore was among five Britons abducted in May 2007 by militants disguised as Iraqi policemen.
He was taken along with his four bodyguards.
The five were overpowered outside the finance ministry in Baghdad, and seen afterward in only a few videotapes made by their captors.
The bodies of three of the bodyguards have been returned to Britain.
The whereabouts of the fourth bodyguard, Alan McMenemy, is unknown but Miliband said it is believed he is dead.
