Istanbul: Turkish police have defused a pipe bomb left in front of a fast-food restaurant in Istanbul, state-run Anatolian news agency said on Friday.
A bomb disposal team discovered the bomb in the central Kadikoy district after receiving a report regarding a suspicious package.
The bomb was placed in front of a McDonald's branch and was designed to be detonated by mobile phone.
