Cairo: Arab foreign ministers are due to hold crisis talks on Saturday to discuss the International Criminal Court's call for the arrest of Sudan's president.
Secretary General Amr Mussa's chief of staff, Hisham Yussef, made the announcement on Monday, adding that the talks will be held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
Yussef said that Arab League permanent representatives will no longer meet on Wednesday, as announced earlier.
ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo accused Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir on Monday of masterminding a genocide campaign in Darfur.
Moreno-Ocampo also requested for a warrant against Bashir, which would mark the first ever bid by ICC to charge a sitting head of state.
