Sana'a: A group on trial charged with supporting the armed rebellion led by supporters of the late Badr Al Deen Al Houthi say their trial is to satisfy the Americans and Israelis.
"Our position is clear on this trial. We do not recognise it because the court is illegal and the trial is only to appease your lords the Jews and Christians," a defendant told the court from behind bars.
Fifteen people, including two women, are on trial, accused of forming an armed gang to carry out acts against military and security officials and governmental institutions in Yemen.
Prosecutor Khalid Al Mawri showed items confiscated from the group including grenades, detonators, poison, acids, explosives and mobile phones,
The trial is adjourned to March 25.
