Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has appealed to seafarers to help search for three Omani citizens who have been missing at sea since April 18.

In a quarter-page advertisement in all local newspapers on Sunday the ROP appealed to all fishermen, captains of ships at sea, other seafarers, as well as aircraft pilots to help look for Abu Bakr Bin Mohammad Al Oraimi and Amour Bin Saeed Al Bur'ami from the Sadah district of Dhofar governorate in the south, and Mubarak Bin Al Ghailani of Jalan Bani Bu Ali in the eastern region.

“All three went fishing on April 18 but have not returned,'' said a spokesperson for the ROP public relations department.

“Oman's Air Force, the Royal Navy of Oman and ROP coastguards have been searching for the lost citizens but in vain,'' said the spokesman.

Residents of Oman and neighbouring countries with information can call the emergency number 9999 in Oman.
