Kuwaiti actor denies rumours about his death

Manama: Kuwaiti actor Abdul Hussain Abdul Ridha on Monday denied reports that he had died.

"I am fine and in good health," the 72-year-old star said as he dismissed the reports that circulated online and through the BlackBerry.

"I am used to hearing rumours about my death and other things, but this time I am determined to take legal action after all the pain they have caused me and my family," he said, quoted by a Kuwaiti online.

Abdul Hussain, one of the founders of the art movement in Kuwait, has performed in plays, television series and operettas.

In a play made in the 90s, he mocked the Iraqi former leader Saddam Hussain.
