Three killed in bomb blast in the Philippines
Manila: A bomb blast killed three people and injured 27 on Wednesday in southern Philippine city of General Santos, said the police.
The explosion took place outside a tuna main gate canning factory after 2pm while workers were on the way home.
"The injured have been rushed to hospitals in the area," a police spokesman said, adding that it was a home-made bomb.
The motive behind the bombing is still unknown, said the police and on Wednesday night they said they did not exclude a business rivalry as a motive.
"Investigators said that the explosive may have been attached on a motorcycle parked just outside the factory," according to the website.
