Durrani blasts former PM

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Mohammad Ali Durrani yesterday castigated former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for constantly changing his stance on the agreement of exile.

"Finally, Nawaz Sharif has admitted that he left the country after reaching an agreement as earlier he had been saying that he had made no agreement while seeking amnesty," he said. "Please be assured he will also admit in future that he had agreed to leave the country for 10 years," the minister added.

Durrani said Sharif had left the country when its coffers were empty and now he was trying to come back when they were full.

"Why didn't he return after five years? Why did he not inform the guarantors about termination of the agreement after the passage of five years?" he asked.
