Patna: A truck plunged into a river in eastern India, killing at least 32 labourers, police said on Sunday.
Rescue operations are underway to find any survivors from the accident, which occurred when the truck veered off a bridge.
The dead were farm labourers returning home from work in Bihar, a police official said.
Most of the villagers died after being crushed under heavy sacks of grain, while the rest drowned, he added.
