New Delhi: India will not agree to conditions to get approval from a nuclear trade cartel over a nuclear deal with the United States, India's foreign minister said.

Countries in the Nuclear Suppliers Group are meeting in September to decide on whether to lift a ban on nuclear trade with India.

"We have to see what kind of amendments come," Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India news agency on Saturday.

The nuclear cartel must agree to allow nuclear fuel and technology exports to India for its civilian atomic energy programme to help seal the US-Indian trade accord.
