Beijing: A gas explosion in a coal mine in China killed 23 on Thursday, Xinhua news agency said, without giving any details.
The blast occurred at the coal mine in Fuxin in China's northeast province of Liaoning
China is the world's largest producer and consumer of coal and has the world's deadliest mining industry.
