China says Dalai Lama ends dialogue

Beijing: China has accused the Dalai Lama of slamming the door on talks over Tibet's future.

The report from the official Xinhua news agency appears to be in response to international pressure on Beijing to negotiate with Tibet's exiled Buddhist leader.

Xinhua reported that ''it was the Dalai Lama clique that closed the door of dialogue.''
