Workshop: Media staff trained in reporting politics

Dubai: The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MSFNCA) on Monday resumed its political training workshops for the media in cooperation with Sharjah University.

The workshop - Press Interaction on Political Events: Vision and Challenges focused on giving media personnel a better perspective on how to deal with political issues and related events that take place in the country, region or internationally.

The workshop also introduced participants to case studies of international press coverage related to political events.

The workshop series, which started in November and will continue in the months ahead, gained positive feedback from participants who highlighted the need for such initiatives aimed at strengthening the partnership between the Ministry and the media, thus enhancing awareness of political practices amongst the public.
