UAE leaders congratulate Bouteflika

His Highness President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria on his re-election for another term.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar cables to the Algerian leader.

Bouteflika won re-election in a landslide, receiving 83.5 per cent of the votes cast, according to official results released yesterday.
