Firefighters took an hour to put out the blaze that erupted at two warehouses

Dubai: Two warehouses in Umm Al Ramool went up in flames Friday evening and firefighters took an hour to bring the blaze under control, the Civil Defence said.
There were no reports of injuries or deaths. The warehouses for sanitary wear and paper material caught fire at 6.20pm.
Major Ali Khalfan Al Motawaa, Director of the Operations room at Dubai Civil Defence, said the Civil Defence team arrived at the scene within five minutes and their priority was to contain the fire so it would not spread to the four neighbouring warehouses.
He said that the fire took an hour to control. He said the Civil Defence will dispatch a team to ensure that there were no safety infringements and that fire safety measure were followed.
Al Motawaa added that if there were infringements, the warehouse owners would be fined depending on the severity of the infringement.
