RTA completes viaduct segment on Shaikh Zayed Road

Dubai: The Rail Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed construction of the first three viaduct spans of the Dubai Metro on Shaikh Zayed Road near Jumeirah Lake Towers and Jumeirah Island.

Each of the three spans consists of a minimum of eight pre-cast viaduct deck segments.

Each segment is 10 metres wide and 4 metres high and weighs more than 50 tonnes.

The trains will travel on the bridge deck.
