Ras Al Khaimah: Residents of the Al Zahra'a area in Ras Al Khaimah have lodged a complaint with the police about the nuisance caused by wanton groups of youngsters performing stunts and drag racing on the roads.

Residents told the police that the youths, who would turn up at different times of the day and invariably during the night, were a menace and unnerved families staying in the area and endangered the lives of other road users.

The residents voiced apprehensions about whether the youngsters even had valid driving licences.

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Al Bogham, who heads the emirate's Police Patrols Department, promised to follow up complaints and take action as and when residents reported disturbances in their areas.
