Al Ghuwaifat: The way Mohammad from Jordan sees it, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
In June, Mohammad spent eight days trying to get across the Saudi border, hauling oranges in his refrigerated trailer, worrying about fuel, and just making a refill before his load for Damascus spoilt.
Barely 20 weeks later, Mohammad is stuck again, this time with a load of coconuts.
"This is too much," says the father of six. "How often are we going to have to go through this?"
He's heading for Jordan this time, and again he's losing sleep over his load.
"My refrigeration unit's diesel is running low," he says. To conserve fuel he's only running it intermittently, and turning the thermometer up a little.
"This is the GCC," he says. "There should be free movement of goods like there is in Europe. Yallah, this can't go on. This is the second time in five months. Too many problems now," he says.
