Tom and Jerry say 'Hi!' to Dubai

Dubai: Al Ghurair City has brought famous cartoon characters Tom and Jerry to Dubai, to surprise children who visited the famous shopping district.

The two lovable characters from Warner Bros. Studios are currently doing the rounds at the mall from 4pm to 8:30 pm. They will be performing four 20-minute shows every day.

Tom and Jerry, the well-known animated cat and mouse team, are the first batch of cartoon characters that Al Ghurair play host to during the DSS months.

The line-up of cartoon favourites at Al Ghurair City also includes Aladdin, Woody Woodpecker and the Power Puff Girls.

Mukta Sabharwal, a spokesperson for Al Ghurair City, said: "The high quality of entertainment, and the variety of characters that we will be introducing is aimed at satisfying the needs of children visiting Al Ghurair City for a range of fun activities."

"This kind of entertainment is observed to enrich shopping experience.With people from different nationalities visiting the mall everyday, Al Ghurair City is happy to present these lovable characters, who will make even adults become children for awhile," she added.

Lamcy Plaza surprises

Lamcy Plaza is all set to roll out Adventure Surprises Week, which opened yesterday. The events, which will last until July 19, has animal circus show, magic shows and juggling acts.

The first day will open with 'Ronald McDonald Show' from 2:30 to 3:30pm. Henna design making, face painting, character shows, play station games, caricature booth, tattoo are just a few to mention from the long list of adventure lined up for the week here.
