Three teenagers killed in ghastly car crash

Al Ain: In a ghastly car accident in the city three teenagers were killed instantly when a tyre burst, sending their car crashing into a trailer truck on Friday. Police said two Emiratis were among the dead.

The accident occurred near an underpass and all the victims were travelling in the car.

Police said the accident occurred due to speeding. The driver lost control when a tyre burst and the car rammed into an oncoming trailer driven by a Pakistani.

The car was sliced in two by the impact of the collision. Rescue teams had to use cutting equipment to free the bodies.

The deceased have been identified as Emirati S.A.M, 17, Emirati N.J.K, 19, and S.K.S, a 19-year-old GCC national.
