Ras Al Khaimah soft drinks firm fined for particle in bottle

Ras Al Khaimah: The municipality on Sunday fined a soft drinks company after a group of women teachers found a mysterious chunky particle in a bottle.

The company was ordered to pay a fine of Dh3,000 and the manager of the company's branch in Ras Al Khaimah signed a pledge not to repeat the violation and to check their products carefully before they reach the customers.

A senior municipal official said the teachers lodged a complaint with the municipality and provided the inspectors with a sealed soft drink bottle with the foreign body in it.

The teachers said they had bought the bottle from a cafeteria near the school.
