Mystery UFO is seen over Dubai police HQ
The mysterious Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) which was chased by police in Dubai last Friday, has been spotted again. And for the second time, someone has managed to photograph it.

Dubai police were processing a film from the camera of a Dubai policeman's wife who spotted and photographed the UFO as it circled Police Headquarters for more than five minutes at approximately 7pm.

New Sharjah oil depot is opened
His Highness Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah has officially opened new BP oil storage depot at Sharjah port.

Constructed on a nine-acre plot of reclaimed land as part of the Mina Khalid project, the depot contains six storage tanks for aviation kerosene, diesel and fuel oil.

Stockpile wheat call
The Secretary General of the Arab Economic Unity Council, Eakhri Kaddouri, urged Arab states to form an organisation that would stockpile wheat to stabilise its prices for themselves.

Khaddouri said the creation of an Arab wheat organisation was necessary to counter suggestions for the creation of an international wheat cartel. The Arab world was facing a serious food crisis, spending five million dollars a day on food imports.

Now Egypt pulls out of Bulgaria
Egypt severed diplomatic relations with Bulgaria. Foreign Ministry statement said Egypt made the decision after the Bulgarian government expelled Egypt's diplomats in Sofia. "Egypt has been keen to contain the incident within its normal limits but the government of Bulgaria chose to expel the Egyptian Embassy staff from Sofia and accordingly Egypt has decided to sever relations with Bulgaria," the statement said.

Piecing together Emirate's history
Ras Al Khaimah's long and colourful history makes it an ideal home for the national museum which is now being built on the historical site of Al Fualayah, once used as the summer residence by the ruling family. The site is between the main town and the international airport and includes a mosque, a tower and a fortified farm dwelling all under restoration and said to be between 80 and 100 years old.
