No oil spill after tanker accident off Dubai coast
Dubai: While logistics teams are heavy on the ground, initial reports suggest no oil has so far spilled into the ocean following an accident involving an oil tanker off the coast of Dubai.
Teams from Regional Clean Sea Organisation (RECSO) and Seacor Environmental Services– oil clean up companies were called and alerted to the accident.
John Dipple, general manager of Seacor, told Gulf News equipment had been mobilized and a response system was in place.
"We have been called and alerted to the situation. According to people on the ground there is no oil in the water. We are watching and waiting but the situation is stable," he said.
